Terms of Service

By accessing or using SayWhat? ("the Service"), operated by Otion LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

SayWhat? is a web-based application that converts legal documents — such as leases, employment agreements, insurance policies, terms of service, NDAs, and loan documents — into section-by-section plain-English translations for reading comprehension. The Service operates using client-side artificial intelligence that processes data entirely in the user's browser.

This is critical — please read carefully.

SayWhat? is a reading aid for informational purposes only. It is not:

• A law firm or legal service
• A substitute for professional legal advice
• A risk-assessment or compliance tool

SayWhat? translates the language of a document into plain English. It does not flag risks, does not tell you what to do, and does not judge whether a term is favorable or unfavorable. Translations are generated by artificial intelligence and may contain errors. Before signing any legal document or taking action based on a translation, consult a qualified attorney.

• AI-generated translations may contain errors, omissions, or misinterpretations
• Legal language is nuanced; a plain-English summary is a reading aid, not a legal opinion
• OCR may produce errors when processing photos of paper documents
• Lengthy or highly technical documents may be translated less accurately

You are solely responsible for verifying any translation against the original document before taking action.

SayWhat? processes your documents entirely in your browser. This means:

• Your document content is read, translated, and stored locally on your device — it is never uploaded to our servers
• Only metadata (file name, document type, word count, status) is saved to your account
• We do not see, store, or have access to your document content or translation results
• Translation results live only in the browser and device where you created them
• Clearing your browser storage deletes your locally stored translation results

Because document content stays on your device, it is your responsibility to keep backups of anything you need. We are not responsible for data loss resulting from clearing browser storage, lost access to an account, or device changes.

You agree to:

• Provide accurate information when creating your account
• Maintain the security of your password and account
• Only upload documents you own or are authorized to access
• Not use the Service for any illegal purpose
• Not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or circumvent the Service's encryption or security measures
• Verify any translation against the original document before relying on it

SayWhat?, including its software, design, prompts, and content, is the property of Otion LLC.

• Free tier: 1 translation per month at no cost
• Pro tier: $9/month for unlimited translations with section-by-section output and document history
• Per-Document tier: $5 one-time for a single full translation, no subscription
• Family tier: $19/month for up to 5 users with a shared document vault
• Payments are processed by Stripe
• Subscriptions may be cancelled at any time
• Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis — contact support@saywhat.app

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SayWhat? is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to: incorrect translations, failure to identify a term, losses arising from reliance on a translation, or data loss due to clearing browser storage or losing account access. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 30 days preceding the claim.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Otion LLC, its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause. You may stop using the Service at any time and delete your account and all associated encrypted data.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States of America.
